Tact is for people who aren't witty enough to use sarcasm. By the way, I'll try to be nicer if you try to be smarter. With that said, welcome to my lair.
Henry David Thoreau once said, "You must not blame me if I do talk to the clouds."

Perhaps the same could be said about yours truly. There's a dash of eccentricity in me, just enough to keep me sane; a dollop of obsessive compulsiveness , just the right amount to keep me from flipping the last proverbial flip that may break the camel's back; an ounce of rage, just enough to keep the strangers who piss me off from driving me up the wall; and a bucket load of hopeless romanticism to keep it all in check. To top it all off, I'm a lover of tradition, an old soul who would have probably found a better footing in the world had I been born in the rat pack era. In this blog, I speak my mind, and say my peace, sarcasm is the name of the game and brute honesty is my forte. Don't like what you see? Navigate your cursor to the top right corner of your screen, click on the big X and see if I give a tiny rat's derriere. With all that said, welcome to my lair.

In the words of Groucho Marx, "If you find it hard to laugh at yourself, I would be happy to do it for you."

Shut up, fool!

Twitter in Malaysia seems to be abuzz with the whole school fees issue. One local celeb (Wardina) decided to retweet something "ada ka anak menteri sekolah government?" The dumbass celeb got a taste of her own meds when Najwa Mahiaddin (TPM's daughter) replied to the twit "saya dan adik beradik saya semua sekolah government." Nak kata apa lagi kan? I decided to jump into the whole debacle and twitted to the celeb "be more responsible in what you retweet" and she came up with the lamest of defence, "just because i retweet doesnt mean i endorse." Hellooooo, when you retweet something obviously you agree to it. You wouldn't have retweeted something that you feel nothing for right? Unless you add a disclaimer there. Which she didn't. This particular celeb needs to realize that when you're a public figure, people pay extra attention to what you say, so you have to be more careful in putting your thoughts out there in cyberspace. If you want to vent, have a private account and only add your closest friends. Ini twits semua for public view and cakap ikut suka hati.

I just don't understand why people are so pissed about the school fees issue. Government mansuhkan yuran kecoh, government mintak bayar kecoh. Don't they realize that as it is we don't pay that much for our kids to attend public schools in the country. Someone else said on Facebook, "memang lah mansuh yuran, tapi nanti ada macam-macam bayaran tambahan, sapa nak tanggung?" Beranak pandai, tapi bila kena bayar school fees, books etc merungut. Semua nak harap government tanggung. Some countries mak bapak kena start saving for their kids' college funds dari time budak tu baby lagi. In Malaysia you don't even have to think about college funds. Our public universities punya fees dah kira low gila, itu pun dapat PTPTN lagi. And our degrees are recognized worldwide.

Lain kali kalau tak nak bayar school fees, jangan beranak. Telan birth control pills tu banyak-banyak and keep your pie-holes shut.

  1. I think you should shut up instead, fool ... there is no rule on Twitter saying "retweeting" is the same as "endorsing" ... a person can retweet something as a mean of joking or discussion opener or whatever the person's intention is .. when you interpreted her retweet as endorsing and she should be responsible for that, well it's you who worsened the simple thing ... and it made you look, well, fool instead ;-)

  2. hello, when you retweet something and ure a public figure, it carries weight. would u retweet something like "the PM is fat" if you're a public figure? you wouldnt right? so when she retweeted something, and then proudly told the person who owned the ori tweet, "hangat la tweet u i RT", that sounds like endorsing and a bit of bragging. i dont look like a fool coz im no public figure. she on the other hand looks like a damn fool, along with her supporters.

  3. I think the reason why so many people are pissed is because they think the government should be giving the rakyat of Malaysia education free of charge which btw, some countries do. I'm on the fence about it though. I think everybody should be grateful about the fee reduction. It's something, isn't it? But personally, I do think education should be given freely, it's not like they don't have enough money.

  4. you make a fair and reasonable argument. in my opinion though, Malaysia is not a 3rd world country. Therefore most Malaysians can afford to pay the minimal fees required for their children's education. That way more money can be channeled to other developments and the quality of education will have room for improvement.

  5. everybody got their very own opinion in certain issues. some people may agree with you and some people may not. so do she (wardina)..., but you must respect her. does what she said (or RT) hurt you?? well, you maybe coming from a rich family and therefore, can afford to pay all such fees. how about those who can't afford?? those coming from rural areas, those unfortunate?? think about it...
